Wind power company SeaTwirl held an Extraordinary General Meeting in Gothenburg on April 8, 2020, after which the newly elected board has constituted itself. As planned, the board elected Klementina Österberg as new chair. Peter Laurits remains vice chair.
The chair of the wind power company SeaTwirl, Jens Tommerup, leaves the board to spend more time in an operational role. Therefore, an advisory group has been formed, initially staffed by Jens Tommerup and Roger Cederberg, with the plan to recruit more advisors in the future. The board also announces the plan to elect Klementina Österberg as new chair of the board.
I hope this Xmas letter finds you well. The holidays and a new decade is just around the corner which is a suitable time for me to look back and reflect on what has happened during the year. That SeaTwirl has an eventful year as you may know, and as we look back at the tremendous development of the wind power sector in general, we believe that ’the best is yet to come’.
Niklas Persson, from our partner Alten, tells his story about his attempt to break the world record for rowing across the Altantic. Setbacks along the way kept the record out of reach, but as a proud sponsor we congratulate Niklas and his team on their performance. Their determination will stand as an inspiration for us.
SeaTwirl was invited by De Blauwe Cluster to do a pitch of the G-STIC conference in Brussels 21st November.
SeaTwirl is a partner in Train2Wind, a PhD training school that will analyze how wind currents are impacted by offshore wind farms. The conclusions will contribute to better planning and placement of wind farms.

After seven years as chairman and member respectively, Roger Cederberg and Daniel Ehrnberg leave the board to focus on new roles within the company as SeaTwirl enters a new phase.
On September 1st, SeaTwirl launched the project that recently got financing from EU’s SME instrument.
