SeaTwirl sees increased international media coverage in Q3 2026

SeaTwirl’s review of media coverage from 1 July to 30 September 2026 identified nine publications in outlets outside Sweden, compared with five in the same period of 2025. The publications appeared across seven outlets in Australia, Denmark, France, the Netherlands, Norway and the United Kingdom, compared with four outlets the previous year.

“I am delighted to see our technology and development work reaching media such as Recharge, a leading international publication covering the renewable energy industry, and EnergyWatch, read by decision-makers across the Nordic energy sector. Some outlets have also chosen to interview me, not just report our news, and to me that is a sign that our work is being taken seriously. We hope this will open up further conversations about floating offshore wind,” says Johan Sandberg, CEO of SeaTwirl.

At least five of this year’s publications were the outlets’ own work, such as interviews and articles, compared with one or two in 2025. Johan Sandberg was interviewed for Offshore Wind Leaders, a podcast from the Norwegian energy data company TGS, and TGS also published an article on the same conversation on its news site 4C Offshore News. EnergyWatch, part of the Danish media group JP/Politikens Hus, has published coverage featuring Sandberg in its Norwegian and international editions.

Among the outlets that have written about the proposed demonstration project in Australia are Recharge, the Australian news site RenewEconomy and the Netherlands-based wind energy magazine Windtech International. Recharge is published by the Norwegian DN Media Group, which also owns the business daily Dagens Næringsliv. SeaTwirl and Hunter Floating Offshore Wind (HFLOW) signed a memorandum of understanding on the project on 22 September 2026.

“Australia is a whole new continent for us, and I am particularly pleased that RenewEconomy, the country’s leading renewable energy news site, has written about our proposed demonstration project there. Increased international visibility gives us more opportunities to explain what we do, and why, to the partners we need in new markets. We will keep our focus on developing the technology and taking it forward together with them,” says Johan Sandberg.

About the review

The review covers 1 July–30 September in 2025 and 2026. It counts publications that name SeaTwirl in news media, trade media and podcasts with an identifiable publisher and editorial team. Each is either an original text or a press release that the outlet chose to publish, edited or verbatim. Distribution services, automated feeds, click-driven sites, blogs and rewrites of other outlets’ articles are not counted. SeaTwirl conducted the review using AI to search the web and to assess the results, applying the same criteria to both periods. In total, the review found 10 publications in 2026 and 11 in 2025: publications in Swedish outlets fell from six to one, while those in outlets outside Sweden rose from five to nine. The review measures the number of publications, not their reach or readership.
